You need more than a good voice to make $ in VO work. But a good voice can get you started. Tape record a bunch of radio commercials, and then type up a script of the commercial. Then use your tape recorder and record that same commercial about a dozen times. Playing it back each time. Listen to your voice, teach yourself. Learn to deliver emotion, an audio, subliminal message. Are you able to get the listener to sit up and take notice? Are you representing the product in the way the writer intended? Listener to ALL voiceovers, repeat them, copy them, notice how the artist delivered the lines, learn to deliver a variety of styles, stretch yourself beyond your current limits. Remember, not all VO artists have a beautiful voice, but there is a market for ALL kinds of voices ... even Tom Bodet!
