I'm setting up my home studio. I've got a good computer, SAW, Mackie, Tascam 4 channel reel-to-reel, cassette, Audio-Technica and EV mics, amp, monitors, AKG monitor headphones, DAT, Mini-disc, and lots 'o cables! On a LIMITED (blown) budget, do I need a compressor/gate/limiter, or an equalizer, or a mic pre-amp, or a mic processor, or any other "toy"? What other stuff would you recomend as a "must-have" item?
